For international students interested in earning a Bachelor’s degree at the Alcorn State University, students must complete the undergraduate international admissions application.

Requirements

  • Transcript(s) from high school and/or colleges previously attended. The transcripts must be submitted for evaluation. The evaluations must be completed by a certified professional credential evaluation service of a course-by-course evaluation. Applicants may select any National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) member to provide this service. (See NACES web site, www.naces.org, for a list of NACES members.)
  • A minimum composite score of 18 or above on the American College Test (ACT) or it’s equivalence on the SAT is required.
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required to adequately determine proficiency in the English language. If it is determined that English is used as a “second language” in the applicant’s country of origin, the TOEFL requirement may be waived. A minimum composite score of 525 on the Paper-based, 195 on the Computer based, and 71 on the Internet based on the TOEFL is required.
  • International students must give evidence of having adequate financial support (scholarships, affidavit of support, etc.) after submitting the online application. The University does not assume responsibility for a student who arrives with inadequate resources.
