Alcorn Implements Inclement Weather Plan for Commencement

Due to Friday and Saturday’s weather forecast of scattered thunderstorms, for the safety of our graduates, their families and friends, we are implementing our inclement weather plan and moving the 2022 Spring Commencement indoors. Commencement rehearsal and the Commencement ceremony will be held in Davey L. Whitney HPER Complex on the Lorman campus.

Rehearsal will take place on Friday, May 13 at 10:00 am and the commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, May 14 at 9:00 am. Graduates should arrive at the Whitney Complex at 7:30 am for lineup. The Ray Johnson Auditorium Extension and the James L. Bolden Campus Union Ballroom are designated as overflow areas.

Each graduate (including the Golden Class) will be issued (5) tickets as they collect their cap and gown. As we look toward Commencement and the beginning of summer, we want to acknowledge all of the hard work and dedication of our graduates and salute them on a job well done.
