Alcorn’s Human Resources hold successful presentation on automated payroll process at state conference

Alcorn State University’s Office of Human Resources’ representatives recently attended the annual Mississippi Banner Users Group (MBUG) conference and made a presentation on Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAFs) to conference members.

The presentation created lots of interest and the conference participants approached the Alcorn group asking to share a copy of the presentation that was prepared by Angela Grandberry, Human Resources benefits specialist.

“This is good news,” says Carla Williams, Human Resources director. “There are very few institutions, if any, who have implemented the automated payroll process (EPAFS) in Banner and have 32 payroll actions that are fully functional via the Employee Self Service Module. The requests for copies of the presentation show that Alcorn is a pioneer in implementing this automated payroll system.”

The MBUG Conference annually gathers employees from schools and universities in the state of Mississippi enhancing their skills in using the Ellucian Banner System. During the Conference, selected employers conduct presentations of the new tools and services which they have implemented in the Banner system. The Conference also provides great networking and information sharing opportunities for Banner users.
