Alcorn State Scientist Invited to Present at World Agriculture Conference in Qingdao, China

Dr. Michael O. Ezekwe, animal science professor and director of School of Agriculture, Research, Extension and Applied Sciences Swine Development Center, has been invited to present a paper at the 2015 World Congress of Agriculture 2015.

The presentation will be a part of the parallel forum of the 6th annual World Gene Convention that will be held today through November 15 in Qingdao, China. Dr. Ezekwe’s presentation is entitled, “Considerations for a Successful Swine Feeding Program for a Small Scale Production.” He will also chair a conference track entitled, “Feeding Technology and Feed Production.”

“This invitation will provide an opportunity to discuss some of the research we have done at Alcorn addressing problems of sustainability of swine production,” he said. “Feed inadequacies are the limiting factors to sustainability among small-scale producers.”

At this conference, to be attended by scientists all over the world, opportunities to cross-share information and experiences in dealing with problems of increasing production and maintaining sustainability will be of major importance, he added.
