Schreiber Foods Inc., Seeks 2018 Summer Interns

Talent Recruitment Days will be held October 24-25 for students enrolled in the School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences or the School of Business who are interested in a 2018 summer internship with Schreiber Foods, Inc.

Students will have an opportunity to hear and ask questions about Schreiber during open sessions entitled “Career Opportunities with Schreiber Foods, Inc.,” which will be held in the Extension and Research Complex of the Ray Johnson Assembly Center at the following times:

Oct., 24 –

Session I – 10 -11 a.m.

Session II – 1- 2 p.m.

Students can choose the session most appropriate for their schedules.

DJ Daniels, human resources team leader, and Jenai Gray, consumer insights analyst, both of Schreiber Foods, will facilitate.

Students interested in working for the company will be registered and scheduled for an interview on October 25 in one of the Extension and Research Complex’s Conference Rooms, 220 or 260D.

After a face-to-face interview, and an evaluation of each applicant, successful candidates will receive a follow-up telephone interview and be offered the opportunity to serve as a paid, summer-only intern with Schreiber.

According to Donald “Don” Smith, development officer, School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, this event is the result of a partnership formed in 2016 between Alcorn State University and Schreiber Foods for mutual benefit.

“Our goal is to provide students with employment opportunities and work experience through Schreiber, a Fortune 500 Company,” he said. “In doing so we assist Schreiber with their initiative to employ a talented, diverse workforce.”
