Seventh Annual Center for Research Excellence Symposium
On Thursday, March 18, the Alcorn State University School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences and the School of Arts and Sciences hosted its 7th annual Center for Research Excellence Symposium (CRES). The event was held virtually.
Students and faculty members had significant showings in the symposium with multiple first and second-place award wins for their projects. The categories consisted of undergraduate oral, graduate oral, professional oral, undergraduate poster, and graduate poster.
Since 2013, CRES has been instrumental in strengthening students’ expertise, which allows them to present their research in various professional settings. Each year, a multitude of oral and poster presentations make the symposium an exciting celebration of the research culture at Alcorn.
