Alcorn State University’s Division of Marketing and Communication participated in the 2024 College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM) Conference and Awards Ceremony.

This year’s conference was held in Bay St. Louis, Miss. from May 19-21.

This year, Ms. Maxine Greenleaf is recognized for her dedication, creativity, and professionalism as she continues to craft innovative strategies to highlight the University’s rich heritage and unwavering commitment to an exceptional learning experience.”

Charles Edmond, operations manager at WPRL 91.7, and Maxine Greenleaf, associate vice president of Marketing and Communication, won first place in the Senior Division for the “Discover Alcorn” radio commercial.

Greenleaf won another first place award for a psychology brochure for the School of Education and Psychology.

She was elected to the CPRAM Board as a 4-year college and university representative. Greenleaf previously served as president of CPRAM in 2019.

Other 4-year universities competing in the Senior Division include Jackson State University, Mississippi State University, Mississippi University for Women, Mississippi Valley State University, The University of Mississippi, and the University of Southern Mississippi.

CPRAM is a consortium of public relations professionals employed at Mississippi’s public and private colleges and universities and affiliated education agencies.
