This year, Alcorn State University’s Division of Marketing and Communication captured 16 awards during the 2025 College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM) Conference. The annual conference was held in Starkville, Miss., from May 19 to 21.

The team won in several categories, from photography to marketing/public relations campaigns. The award entries were judged based on projects completed from January 2024 through December 2024.

Team members who won awards include Deonica Davis, senior graphic designer; Tommie Green, digital media specialist; and Maxine Greenleaf, interim vice president of marketing and communication. Other award winners include student workers in the division — Taliyah Bailey, Samuel Brown, Martravian Carson, and Kylie Foster.

“I am beyond proud of the team and their efforts to create quality projects that have made an impact at Alcorn and beyond,” said Greenleaf. “It is an honor to lead a Division of talented and dedicated team members who strive for excellence each day.”

Greenleaf was elected to continue in her role on the CPRAM Board as a 4-year college and university representative. In addition, she will assist in the organization’s membership growth efforts. Greenleaf previously served as president of CPRAM in 2019.
