Dr. Latuesday Guy, assistant professor and director of the Business Administration Program in the School of Business at Alcorn State University, has been accepted into the ANA Educational Foundation’s 2025 Visiting Professor Program.

The AEF’s Visiting Professor Program will host 40 professors in New York City from June 2-6 to enhance their understanding of the latest developments in advertising and marketing. Participants will engage with marketers, agencies, and media companies, with workshops in partnership with Fordham University’s Center for Positive Marketing.

The program’s theme, “Envisioning the Future of Marketing and Advertising,” will focus on areas including brand and creativity, sustainability and inclusion, data and technology, and talent. The curriculum combines experiential activities with presentations from industry leaders, providing opportunities for professors to apply their learning to teaching and research.

Dr. Antwon Woods, dean of the School of Business at Alcorn State University, emphasized the significance of Guy’s acceptance: “Guy’s acceptance into the AEF program highlights the high quality of our faculty and our commitment to nurturing educators who are active contributors in their fields. It affirms that our faculty is on par with institutions recognized nationally for their academic prowess.” Woods added that Guy’s participation will provide insights and skills that she can bring back to her students, enriching the university’s academic offerings.

Woods also noted the program’s alignment with the school’s mission to provide a high-quality education that prepares students to be ethical leaders: “Guy’s acceptance into the AEF Visiting Professor Program aligns seamlessly with our mission. Engaging with cutting-edge business practices will allow Guy to instill these practices into our curriculum, ensuring that our students receive the best possible preparation for their future endeavors.”

Guy shared her thoughts: “Personally, this is a testament to my hard work and dedication. Professionally, it is an affirmation of my ability to provide opportunities and resources to Alcorn, especially the students.” She hopes to gain industry insights and build relationships that will benefit Alcorn State University and expressed her excitement about the program’s focus on artificial intelligence, strategic communications, and consumer ethics in marketing.

Guy aims to assist her students in growing as individuals and professionals, stating, “This program is just another resource to provide them with those tools they need to grow.”

The AEF, established in 1983, connects the academic and professional communities and, as the educational foundation of the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), aims to educate and inspire the next generation of talent.
