Membership Intake Process (MIP) is done annually through a variety of recruiting processes. In order to be eligible for Alcorn’s MIP one must have attended the university’s Anti-Hazing Workshop for the MIP term they’re seeking membership. This year’s Anti-Hazing Workshops are scheduled for September 24, 2019, and September 25, 2019, at 4PM.

MIP Requirements

Any full-time student that meets the following standards at the time of membership intake is eligible for the MIP process. ( See Student Handbook for further details )

Students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75, having acquired 30 semester hours at ASU and be enrolled at ASU the preceding two semesters.

Transfer students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75, having earned at least 15 semester hours at ASU and having been enrolled full-time at least one semester at ASU immediately prior to being eligible for membership intake. Additionally, transfer students are required to complete 20 hours of verifiable community service before being cleared for MIP.

INDIVIDUAL FRATERNITIES AND SORORITIES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REQUIRE CUMULATIVE GRADE POINT AVERAGES ABOVE THE MINIMUM 2.75 REQUIRED BY THE UNIVERSITY FOR MEMBERSHIP INTAKE AND ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP.
