Fine Arts professor presents at music conferences in Arizona and Florida
Dr. Julia Mortyakova, assistant professor of music at Alcorn, presented her paper “From Capitol Hill to the Ivory Tower: Lobbying Lessons for Academia” at regional conferences of the College Music Society in Tucson, Arizona, February 17-18, and Tampa, Florida, February 23-25.
The College Music Society is a consortium of college, conservatory, university, and independent musicians and scholars interested in all disciplines of music.
“It was an honor to represent Alcorn to my musical colleagues from academic institutions around the country,” shared Dr. Mortyakova.
