The Alcorn State University School of Business will launch The Dean’s Table, a new video and podcast interview series hosted by Dean Antwon Woods, at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, in the Brian K. Johnson Auditorium of the Rudolph Waters Classroom Building.
LaShonda M. Tenner, senior human resources business partner at Netwatch Group, will join Woods as the inaugural guest. The recording is open to students, faculty and staff.
The Dean’s Table brings business leaders and industry experts to campus for conversations on leadership, careers and the forces reshaping the workplace. Episodes will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, ASUTV YouTube, and WPRL beginning October 19.
Tenner has more than 17 years of experience in human resources and project management. At NetWatch Group, she works with executive leadership on human capital strategy, employee experience and talent solutions. She previously served as director of human resources for Allied Universal, where she led HR initiatives across a multistate operation.
Tenner is pursuing a STEM Master of Business Administration with a concentration in artificial intelligence at Alcorn State, where her research examines the effect of AI on workforce transformation and the future of work. She also serves on the executive advisory board of the School of Business.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in project management and an associate degree in business administration, completed an executive leadership development program at Kennesaw State University and is a certified workplace investigator through Littler.
Outside her professional work, Tenner is vice president of the Krewe of Nefertiti, a nonprofit Mardi Gras organization focused on service, leadership and community empowerment along the Gulf Coast, where she previously reigned as Queen Nefertiti VI.
