The Alcorn State University Foundation, Inc. administers a number of endowed scholarships, many of which have been established by family and friends in memory of beloved Alcornites or by faculty members. Students are able to apply based on the criteria for selection by the appropriate scholarship committee. Actual amounts awarded depend on investment performance. Scholarships are awarded for the beginning of an academic year for both fall and spring semesters. One half of the total award is paid in the fall and the remaining half in the spring.
