Description of Program:
The STEM Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program at Alcorn State University reengineers its general MBA program, incorporating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) dimensions. It combines the traditional business curriculum of the general MBA program with a strong focus on developing skills and knowledge in the STEM fields. The program includes coursework in areas such as finance, marketing, strategy, and entrepreneurship, along with specialized STEM-focused courses and concentrations. The integration of STEM subjects in the MBA curriculum allows students to develop a unique set of skills that are highly sought after in STEM-focused professions and industries. Graduates of STEM MBA programs are equipped to tackle business challenges that require a solid understanding of scientific and technological concepts, as well as the ability to analyze data, innovate, and make informed decisions in a rapidly evolving business landscape.

STEM MBA Admission Requirements:
To be admitted under regular admission to the MBA Program, applicants must have:
1. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from an accredited college or university.
2. A minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 (on 4.0 scale) at the undergraduate level.
3. At least 2 years of documented and verifiable work experience as per a professional resume. Years of experience should be in a managerial, supervisory, or professional capacity in a business environment. Work experience requirement may be waived if the undergraduate level GPA is 3.25 or above.
4. Submission of GRE / GMAT test scores is currently waived for admission. Candidates who do not meet the minimum GPA or work experience requirement, these test scores may be submitted to augment the application. Minimum GMAT score of 450 and a minimum score of 1000, based on the following formula: GMAT score plus (200 x overall undergraduate GPA).
5. A $40.00 application fee is required for domestic students and $60.00 for International students for Graduate Admission.

Degree Requirements
To qualify for degree completion with a STEM Master of Business Administration, the student must complete 30 hours of coursework including 18 hours of Core Courses, 9 hours of concentration courses, and 3 capstone credit hours.
