Alcorn State University restricts the operation of all-terrain vehicles. For the purpose of this policy, “all-terrain vehicle” or “ATV” means a motorized vehicle designed primarily for off-road travel on low-pressure tires which has three or more wheels and handle bars for steering”. ATVs are commonly referred to as three wheelers or four wheelers. The operation of ATVs on the Alcorn State University campus is strictly prohibited and limited to Alcorn State University Agriculture Field Research Activities. No person is allowed to operate an ATV on Alcorn State University streets, roads, or drives. Violators will be ticketed and ATV impounded. Although safety is our primary concern, all-terrain vehicles often contribute to congestion in high volume areas and interfere with the overall flow of university traffic.
