Description of Program:
Turn your passion for sport into a career built on business. The Bachelor of Science in Sport
Management at the Alcorn State University School of Business prepares students to lead in one of the
fastest growing industries in the world, from collegiate and professional athletics to facilities, events,
agencies, and brands.
Now housed within an ACBSP accredited business school, this 120 credit hour program grounds sport
industry preparation in the disciplines that drive it. Students complete the same rigorous business core
as our Accounting and Business Administration majors, including financial and managerial accounting,
economics, business statistics, principles of management and marketing, finance, business ethics, and
strategic management, alongside a dedicated sport management sequence.
The result is a graduate who speaks the language of sport and the language of business. That
combination is what athletic departments, franchises, and sport organizations hire.
